Halloween Night!

Saturday, October 31, 2015

We had so much fun tonight!  We started at the Albion block party and then headed out to trick or treat for a bit.  We don’t make it to too many houses-the boys love coming home and handing out candy!  Loved tonight!imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimage

Happy Halloween!!

Friday, October 31, 2014

From our Megalodon, Hammerhead, and baby goldfish!imageWe headed over to the Dennis’ for the neighborhood trick-or-treat pre-party then out to gather some loot!  Our sharks in action!imageThey’re still at the age where they don’t last too long, so after ten or so houses, we were back home.  When we were going to bed, I asked them their favorite part of Halloween, and they said giving out the candy!  Jack decided that each trick-or-treater should get two pieces, so he portioned it out and hand about ten piles ready to go at all times.  Sometimes little brother and sister would disrupt that order and cause some drama, but he worked it out and it was such a fun night!imageimageimage

The Cowboy and the Indian

So, there were no real trick-or-treating pictures this year, but we didn’t let a little fever spoil our Halloween fun!  The boys dressed up and we went outside to play!imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageAnd we fake trick-or-treated, too!imageimageimageimageimageimageimageIt was a fun little Halloween-just over a week late!image

Super Hero Practice

Friday, October 21, 2011

The costumes are done and the biggest Super Hero is pumped!  He’s been trying it on piece by piece, but tonight we decided to have a full Super Hero practice.  He was chasing squirrel after squirrel protecting us from all sorts of bad guys and loving it!imageimage Super Jack helped Super Sam suit-up and gave him another pep talk about the grass.image Good thing we tried his costume on before the big day.  His belt was too small and his cape is still too big.image They had so much fun playing, and I loved watching my super heroes in action!imageimageimageimage imageAnd just like that, our practice was over.  Jack took all his ‘tools’ off and came over to help Sam.  Such a good big brother!image I’m looking forward to Trick or Treating with these two!

Pinterest

Love it, love it! If you’re on Pinterest, you know what I mean. If you’re not, sign up-you’re gonna love it! No more tearing ideas out of magazines and filing them away in your idea book-it’s all in one place online! (Who am I kidding, I’ll still do that. I’m old fashion like that.)

Jack and I did our first Pinterest project today, and it was so fun! I know you all have seen this one, but we tweaked it a bit. I hot glued the crayons to a shoe box top because I didn’t want them on my final canvas, and after seeing that blow drying the crayons was taking a bit (and Jack was loosing interest), Mark suggested I put it in the oven under the broiler. Brilliant! If I did it again, I’d move the crayons up a bit (on the shoe box top) so I don’t have that blank space on the bottom (which was the top during the process). What a fun project-and cheap piece of homemade art!image I have so many fun things ‘pinned’ and I know all of you that I follow do too! Let’s have a Pinterest day. We’ll bring food from recipes we’ve pinned and make some of the fun ideas we’ve been inspired by-we could start with Halloween?!?! Who’s in?

From my phone

Just some recent pictures I don’t want to forget about! (And my phone froze up the other day before I got these pictures off, so that gave me extra incentive to back them up!)imageLove. them.imageimageimageimage
