Soccer Season!

The boys’ first soccer game of the season-Sam’s first ever!-and daddy was coaching.  Did my heart good to see all my boys out there together!I can hear Sam, “Hands in!  Put your hands in!”He started off kinda disinterested, but then he got into it a bit!  But just for a bit.  And then he was pretty over it.Jack did greatuntil Mark had him rotate out.  He wasn’t happy about that at all.  We’re working on sportsmanship.

Sam wanted to score a goal so bad, so he set himself up-and made it happen!!  He was SO excited!!Sweet first soccer game!  Way to go, Strikers!

Jack has loved soccer season, and it’s been so fun to watch!  We had a professional photographer at one of our games (the grandmother of one of our players), and we were all excited about that!  Here are some fun ones she caught of our soccer star.

We had our first soccer game this morning, and it was so much fun!  It was pretty much the Bad News Bears against the All Stars, but they didn’t seem to notice and had a great time!  I loved, loved watching Jack play!  He’s so competitive right now, and you could see that on the field!He thought it would be fun to play goalie-even though they don’t have that position just yet!-and then it was time for a snack break and a little coaching from dad!Then back at it!Sam wants to be out there so badly!Looks like we’re still working on the ‘no hands’ and ‘teammates versus opponents’ concepts!Love these cute boys!It was a really great first game, and I know it’s going to be a super fun season!  Great job, buddy, and GO Strikers!!

Umm, this was the cutest thing ever.  I imagine this is what it feels like to take your daughter to her first ballet class…a mommy dream come true!  And he just loved it!  His team is full of cute little friends from church, school, and the park-we couldn’t be happier!  SO excited for the season-GOOOO Strikers!And you know Sam wanted in on the fun!Look at that concentration!Love this one!
