Another First

While not really a milestone, it's still a sign that our baby is getting bigger right before our eyes!On our walk this morning, Jack faced forward in the Bjorn for the first time. He loved it!

Ta Da!

So here's the finished product. Jack is wearing three to six month clothes right now, so I cut out the pattern for the six month bloomers. They are kind of big on him, but if I pull them up and let the t-shirt help hold them up, they fit pretty well-and he can grow into them!Look at him checking out the cute baby in the mirror!!

Mr. Concentration

Thursday, June 4, 2009

While I was making Jack's bloomers, I had him with me in the bouncey seat and we were talking about the day.
Once I attached the toy bar, his arms and legs started going crazy and he got this look of intense concentration on his face! It was so cute and it looked like he was really studying the new toys. And then I taught him about the planets, and he told me that the toy hanging to his right most closely resembled Saturn-my super smart boy!! :)

Happy Birthday, Leah!

We hope you are having a great day and a WONDERFUL vacation!

We love you!

We hope you have a great day, little man!

We have loved watching you grow from a sweet little baby, to a precious little boy! Jack is looking forward to learning so much from you!
Happy Birthday! We love you!

Why is this boy so HAPPY, you ask?

He sees his daddy, of course! When he gets home from work, it's smiles all around! This boy LOVES his daddy, and so do I! :)And then a moment of introspection. This picture cracks me up-so serious!

Boys Clothes

Monday, June 1, 2009

So I've heard it from many moms, and now I can say it's true-good looking boys clothes are harder to come by than cute girls clothes. So what's a mom to do? Make some!! Oh, and if anyone needs sewing lessons, I highly recommend Amy Dupree! :) You can see some of her handy work here. Thanks again, Aim!

Here's my inspiration from http://www.elle-t.com/-

And here's the first half of my attempt. Jack will be modeling the finished product soon!By the way, moms of boys, where is your favorite place/what is your favorite home show for boys clothes??
