Thank you both SO much for making the trip! It was great to spend time with you, and we can't wait to see you both on St. Patrick's Day!
Uncle Adam
Saturday, February 28, 2009
My brother and his wonderful girlfriend Cari came up from Charleston today to visit baby Jack. I think Adam is completely in love with him {and Cari!}, and Jack feels the same way! He was so content in your arms, brother-you're a natural!
Stork Visit
One of my good friends gave us the most thoughtful gift at my Bunko baby shower-A Stork Visit!
After Jack was born, we called the Mad Platter, and they came to the hospital to get Jack's foot prints.

I thought it would take two to three weeks, but they called me yesterday to let me know it was ready to be picked up!
And the finished product!! Allison, thank you SO much! It is the perfect gift, and we love it!!
One Week Old
Friday, February 27, 2009
It's already been a week since we welcomed this little guy into our hearts and it's been wonderful! He's been very laid back and is easing us into parenthood-he eats and sleeps like a champ!I love to watch all the sweet faces he makes and listen for the newborn grunts and squeals. Just as is true with all new parents, I could look at him for hours and kiss that sweet face of his! One thing I've already learned is to keep my nails cut short-I was putting him in his carrier on Tuesday, and I scratched that sweet little nose!
Jack, this past week has been AMAZING! Our hearts doubled in size the minute we met you!! We love you so much!
Love,
Mommy and Daddy
Thank you...
...just doesn't say enough! My mom was obviously here with the rest of the family for Jack's birth, and then she came back on Sunday to stay with us for our first week home.
Mom, You look so great holding your first grandchild-the look on your face brings tears to my eyes.

You were here to support and encourage us in our first steps as parents, and we will always be grateful for that. Jack misses his Grandma's hugs and kisses already!
I can't wait to read his book to him again, although I'm not sure when I'll be able to do that without crying! We love you so much!Happy Birthday, Deed!
Happy Birthday, to my Daddy!
While I missed seeing this moment, the picture melts my heart! Seeing my dad hold my first born is so special to me. Jack loves you so much already, and I can't wait to see you with him next weekend!
And for another one of my favorite moments with my daddy...do you all remember this? What a special dance that was!I love you, deed! Happy Birthday!

Visitors
We've had many visitors since we've been home, and it's been so much fun! While I haven't remembered to take pictures of everyone, we've loved your company, and Mark, mom, and I thank you all SO much for the yummy meals!
AND..his Godmother, MB, and the Bug came to see him! She LOVED him!! At first Eva just wanted to play with his toys and move him from "basket to basket" {his bouncey seat and carrier}, but then she just wanted to hold him. It was TOO sweet seeing our Goddaughter holding our son! We love you so much, Eva Bug!
On Monday morning, Jack was able to meet little Miss Emory! Amy and Emory came to visit, and she could not have been any sweeter with Jack! She'll have a baby brother or sister come September, so seeing Jack was good practice!
Lauren and Bryan came to visit for a little while from Fort Mill. We had a great dinner with them, they brought Jack his first picture Bible-we love it!- and Lauren's Mimi made Jack a swaddle blanket. How incredibly thoughtful!AND..his Godmother, MB, and the Bug came to see him! She LOVED him!! After a very nice stay, we were discharged from the hospital on Sunday around noon and were so excited to get Jack home! Of course I sat in the back with Jack and stared at him the entire time!
We had a pretty blue bow on the door to greet us-thanks Aunt Linds! What a great picture! Mark and Jack are making the same face...I love my boys!!
Thank you SO, SO much to all of our visitors on Friday and Saturday in the hospital! We are so thankful to have you all in our lives! Jack loved to meet you all, and Mark and I enjoyed the company. Come see us at home--you're going to love him!
