Wrapping up November

Just a few fun ones from this month…

Sam LOVES to read his birthday book.  He’ll say, “See me?  See my cake?  I eat it with my hands!”--And he’s such a helper with the laundry! :)imageThis was the day before Margaret was born-the last time the boys sat side-by-side in the car.  I moved Sam’s seat over and Jack’s back after this picture.imageHere’s our four-day-old.  Took this picture to always remember how teeny she was.imageAnd two silly boys being like daddy!  So cute!image

Decorating our tree

Oh, I love this part!  Usually the boys and Mark will help me hang the first ornament and maybe a few more each, but this year, Jack hung 75% of the ornaments!  imageHe worked so hard and it warmed my heart to no end!imageThe only thing-he didn’t hang them quite how I would.  He chose to clump them together in a  couple different spots.  I loved to see how hard he worked and how he put his little heart into it, but man I wanted to spread out those ornaments when they went to bed!imageMy wise husband reminded me to be thankful.  Thankful for a healthy, happy little boy who wants to help me hang ornaments and is so excited about celebrating the Advent and Christmas seasons!  Those clumps look perfect!! :)

And this little guy was a sweet helper, too!imageimageimageAnd then daddy helped Jack with the finishing touch!imageIt’s perfect!

She hated it.  And Jack had to check on her to make sure she was ok.  Oh, that sweet big brother!  It’s the being cold part that makes her sad.imageimage  And then she was fine for a bit.  imageimageimageimageAnd then she hated it again!imageAnd in the end, she smelled like the sweetest little baby ever!

Two week well check

She’s doing great!  Praise God!image

Our Tree!

Day after Thanksgiving-time to get our Tree!  Yay!!!  It was a pretty cold morning, so we bundled everyone up and headed to the State Farmer’s Market to pick out this year’s tree!  Margaret stayed in the warm car, but the boys were happy with our find-and the candy canes the nice lady gave them!imageMark unloaded the big tree when we got home, and Jack took care of the little one!imageWe lit the tree and hung a few ornaments tonight.  Jack got the honor of hanging the first ones-our family circles-and Sam got to pick one to hang, too.  We’ll finish it up tomorrow!imageI just love having a Christmas tree in our family room!

Leaving the hospital and the first few days at home

More of the big and the little-what a precious memory!!!imageMid morning, the doctor did her rounds and discharged me-Margaret was discharged early morning-so we were ready to go home!  She was born Friday at 12:28pm, and we were leaving the hospital about 48hours later.  It was a sweet stay, but it was even sweeter to be home!imageShe went home in the same gown Sam left the same hospital in almost three years earlier.  I had a sweet little bonnet for her to wear home, but her head was too tiny for it!  Tiny little sweet pea! She was 6 pounds 12 ounces when she was discharged.imageLeaving the hospital…imageand getting home!  More of the new big brother!imageI can’t stop taking pictures of this tiny GIRL, and these are a few random ones from my phone from the first few days.imageimageimageimageimageimageLOVE, love these days and these people and our family of FIVE!
