Well tomorrow, we’ll be switching places!!  Instead of Linds holding our baby boy, she’ll be holding her baby girl!  Linds and Ryan will be headed to the hospital bright and early to be induced, and we are all SO excited!  We’ll be praying for a safe, quick delivery and a healthy mommy and baby girl!

Jack took four unassisted steps today! I was doing some errands, and Jack decided to show off for daddy!! I can't wait to see it!

I love it…

I love it when Jack crawls up to me, pulls up on my legs, and then looks at me with those sweet baby blue eyes!  Be still my heart!I also love seeing how much fun he’s having as he’s learning to walk!I know it’s blurry, but here’s a close up of the third picture above-see his tooth?!  Still just one! 

Happy New Year!

Our little boy would like to wish you a very Happy New Year!  He celebrated the beginning of 2010 by taking one, kind of two, little wobbly steps!!  He seems too little to walk, but it’s the cutest thing to watch him try!  We know this year will bring many new adventures with this sweet boy, and we look forward to each one of them!

We wish you and your family much health and happiness in 2010!

We also look forward to meeting our niece/cousin the first week of this year-I just KNOW! :)

 

Bouncing Baby Boy

Jack has started to like his Johnny Jump Up more and more-here he is this morning. Watch his sweet smile-I love that he smiles so big that he closes his eyes!

What a Christmas!

Just as fast as it came, Christmas Day is over, but boy what a wonderful day it was! We know Jack won’t remember his first Christmas, but we will never forget it! Even though he doesn’t understand the reason we celebrate, the giving and receiving of gifts, and all the beautiful decorations, he made everything new to me and so, so sweet! It was great seeing the magic of the season through his eyes!

We woke up at our usual 7am, and when Jack finished eating ,we headed downstairs to see what Santa left!He did a great job unwrapping-and playing with the paper and bows-and at one point he was standing on his gifts! After breakfast, he enjoyed a ride on his new toy from daddy! The Thomas’ arrived around noon and brought with them a bright red Radio Flyer wagon! Jack LOVED it!!As a matter of fact, he didn’t want to get out and opened the rest of his gifts sitting in the wagon! Look at the middle picture..he’s started putting the phone-or the remote for that matter-to his ear, and it really sounded like he said hello twice!Grandpa took him on a wagon ride, and Jack thought it was great! He did eventually get out, but he kept his eye on it!Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa, for such a yummy lunch and for all the wonderful gifts! Have fun on your after Christmas trip to the Rose Bowl!! We love you!When he woke up from his nap, he even wanted his milk in the wagon! (Note: We think the sippy cup was a bit of a novelty-he’ll still take a bottle!) Ooh, I love this boy! We headed to Charleston on Saturday to spend the day celebrating with my family, and we had a great time!! Next Christmas we’ll have another baby to celebrate with, so we have a lot to look forward to! Playing with Aunt Linds and Uncle Adam is always fun!! Of course we loved on Kendall! Merry Christmas, Kendall! We’re looking forward to meeting you and putting you in this little Moses Basket!It looks like when you’re at Grandma’s house, you can eat in the living room. without a bib. not in your highchair. I guess that’s why Grandma’s house is so fun! :) Extra special Christmas kisses from G&G! Thank you all for the many fun gifts, the fun game of Catchphrase, and the extra special day! We are so thankful for you and we love you so much!We got home with a little time to play before bedtime, so he made his way to his favorite new toys!

Jack, your first Christmas was just wonderful! We look forward to watching you enjoy many more Christmases and learning what this Season is all about. Happy Birthday, baby Jesus!
