Sideline experience

We won a Father/Son sideline experience and the chance to lead the team out of the tunnel at the Hammond Auction back in February.  Jack loved pretty much every minute of it-and so did we!  It was such a treat to watch him take it all in!Jack and Mark even got to go into the wrestling barn to listen to the pregame talk and then walk out with the team!He was so nervous at first!  I saw him sizing up the big football players and could tell he was unsure. I gave him a thumbs up, he put on his helmet, and he was ready to go.  I think.  He took a few pretty deep breaths…and then it was time to run!!  Oh, I had the biggest butterflies in my tummy and then the biggest tears in my eyes!  I just know this will be him for real in no time!  Thankful for the NOW!We found big Sam!  How fun is this to have this picture!  Can’t believe big Sam is old enough for this!Mr. Angel, Headmaster, was so amazing to Jack!  He was looking out for him the whole time and getting him as involved as he could.  He picked him up to bring him into a huddle and see the plays being called.  What a treat!  We wrote him a thank you note the next day!He was having the best time hanging with the big football players!  What a dream come true for this football-loving first grader!  The football players were all so polite and well mannered-even on the football field!  We’re so thankful for the Hammond community and all our kids will learn here, in and out of the classroom!  Loved this night

Five Months Old

Five months old, sweet boy!  You are such a delight and such and an absolute joy!  I frequently tell you how much I want to eat you up!  You are the most content, happy boy and your smiles are contagious!  You smile all. the. time!  People always ask if you’re always this happy, and I’m so thankful that I can say yes!
Sweet George, you are so flexible with your schedule and so patient!  You take a morning nap, usually in the carrier, and then a long afternoon nap, 1-4:30, either on my bed or in the pram-still in our closet!  Yes, poor thing, you are still sleeping in our closet!!  You’re about to outgrow the pram, so good thing we’re almost finished with the renovation!  You also take a little cat nap around 5 or 5:30ish.  Just 15 minutes or so.
Your siblings love, love you!  They constantly want to play with you and entertain you.  It melts me so much!  I mean, look at these faces!
You’re a really great sleeper, but you’ve continued to wake up in the middle of the night.  I wonder if it’s because you still sleep in the pram and I hear you, so I get you.  When you do wake, it’s just for ten or fifteen minutes to nurse and you fall right back to sleep.  I’m eating it up while it lasts, you snuggle bug!

You learned how to roll from back to belly a few weeks ago, but you don’t know how to roll back just yet.  You get stuck and you don’t like it!  You’re really strong with your neck, though-you love to look around!
Georgie Porgie, we love you beyond words and are so grateful to God that you are ours!  You are super smiley, so sweet, laid back as can be, and the most loving with your siblings!  They all love to hold you and get in your face, and you are so tolerant!  And I do the same!  I think I kiss your face hundreds of times each day!  I want to eat you up!  I love you, sweet George, but Jesus loves you the most!!

First Days of School!

August 17th-first day of the Fours (Mrs. Jeanne and Mrs. Robin)We had helpers getting Sam to his first day, and he loved it!  Then we had our traditional first day of school cookie chat when we picked him up and got home!
August 18th-first day of the Toddler II class (Ms. Barbara)
Margaret is going Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-12.  She walked right in today and was ready to play!

August 20th-first day of First Grade (Mrs. Cote)
He’s such a big boy!  He let me walk him in to school, but when we got through the double doors, he said he could take it from there.  So I let him go.  And kept my eyes on that baby boy of mine until I lost him in the sea of people.  I know my job is to raise him to become independent and one day leave me, but already?!  So proud of you, Jacky boy!

Here’s to a great year for the big three!

George’s first dip!

Last day of our summer break and George takes his first dip!  He was pretty indifferent, but I know he’ll love it soon!

On the way back from his first SOLO bike ride to the cul-de-sac!  He was so excited, and I was anxiously awaiting his return!  So proud of how responsible he is!  Way to go, Jack!

Mother’s Day and First Sunday at church

What a blessing it is to be their momma!  I feel so incredibly blessed to be living my dream in mothering them.  Thank you, Father!  And what a privledge to bring George to church for the first time today!  So thankful for our church family and how they will help us raise him and his siblings.

Good Friday Egg Dying and Hunt

The Thomas kids hosted our friends for egg dying and an egg hunt this Good Friday!  Love this tradition!  I love an egg hunt, and it was extra fun to have it in our backyard.  That’s one of the things I pictured when we bought this house! We dyed first-and then hunted.  We hid about 14 dozen eggs, and they were all scooped up in no time!  I kinda wanted to have them all dumped out and rehid so they could hunt again!This was Margaret’s first hunt-and she did great!  Loved watching that!Thankful for these friends and all the fun we had, but most thankful for what Jesus accomplished for us on this day!  “It is finished!”
