PJs with Santa

Love this fun Holiday event, and this year was Sam’s first time!Sam was pretty apprehensive in line and when I sat him on Santa’s lap, but as he checked him out, he started to smile!

I forgot about these two.  Sam wouldn’t stay still for pictures with Jack, but he kept walking into Katherine and Patrick’s pictures and just standing there!  Silly baby!

Christmas card outtakes

We got the one!  And we got some great outtakes, too!  I took the Lee’s Christmas card pictures at the same time, so we got some fun ones of the sweet friends together!Foreshadowing?

Our tree

After a fun breakfast (at the new Waffle House!  Ha!) we headed to the State Farmer’s Market to find our tree.We picked the perfect one and got it home-the boys ready to help put it up!Mark turned on the Christmas music, and they had a dance party!After nap, Jack got to hang the first ornament (the J from our family ornaments) and then Mark helped hang the rest.After the ornaments were all up, he got to put the Angel on top of the tree!  Perks of the first born!So excited that we have so much time to enjoy this beautiful tree!  More tree pictures to come!

Gamecock Football

What a season!  Those games on Saturday are some of my favorites in the Fall!  I hate that it’s already over!  And so does Jack!  We took him to one game this year, and it happened to be the last game of the season.  He keeps asking when we can go back!I know he loved watching football, but the fact that he was able to play with/watch with McLean made it even better! Can’t wait ‘till next year!  Go Gamecocks!

Thanksgiving 2012

So blessed!  We feel just so blessed-and so thankful!  We hosted both of our families this year, and we had so much fun!  Lauren, we missed you and Regal, but we know you enjoyed your family!!It was a beautiful day, so we played outside, ate a wonderful meal, played outside some more, and then before we knew it, everyone headed home or to another celebration!  Of course there was football to watch and Christmas decorations to put up Thanksgiving night!  Yay!!Thank you to our families for coming up to celebrate.  We are so thankful for each of you, love you to pieces, and miss you when you leave!  Can’t wait to be with you again!LOVE this one!  Thanks for snapping it, Uncle Doug!______________________________________________________

Christmas cards-round three

Well, this was more of an impromptu try.  The boys got haircuts, and we stopped by daddy’s office to show him the new dos.  We got some good smiles, but still not the one.

Christmas card pictures-round two

We tried again today after church and Sunday School.  Bad idea.  Sam was about to fall asleep-check it out!-and they were both really into this tree.  They kept hiding behind all the draping branches and running all around.  Yeah, this attempt lasted about five minutes.There was a really awesome part though.  Jack saw the American flag (down there on the ground) and stopped to say the Pledge of Allegiance-hand over his heart (or rib cage) and all!  I melted and then scooped him up and kissed him all over his sweet face!!

The boys and I went to try and get a Christmas card picture.  Love so many of these, but they weren’t exactly what I wanted.  Boy, we had fun though!  When I brought out the balloons they were so pumped!  Balloons are probably Sam’s favorite thing right now.
