Crazy Eights
Sunday, August 24, 2014
I couldn’t remember how to play, so Jack and I watched a You Tube video for lessons. Once he got the hang of it, he wanted to make a video of his own! So of course I said yes! It was amazing! He even ended it by saying, “And that was Crazy Eights!” then gave his name and phone number in case people had questions. He’s SO MUCH FUN!
Oh my word!

I checked on the boys when they should have been napping, and here’s what I found! Two boys fully dressed in church clothes (down to the shoes!) who had made a fort out of outgrown clothes bins, every book in their room, everything from the top of their chest of drawers, and the bean bags! Love the creativity, little ones, but you’re cleaning that up! :)
The chair
Saturday, April 13, 2013
This sweet thing. He just learned how to crawl out of his crib (Jack never did this. But then again, we moved him to his big boy bed at 22 months, so I guess he never had the chance!), so this is where I usually find him during nap time. Ooooh, I just want to scoop him up, kiss all over his face, and go to sleep with him!
Meeting the Easter Bunny
Sunday, March 31, 2013
Before heading up to brunch, the boys got to meet the Easter Bunny. Sam liked him this year! After Jack thanked the EB for his basket of goodies, he said to me, “Mom, I know that’s not the real Easter Bunny cuz I heard him talk. That’s just a person in there. The real Easter Bunny must be taking a nap somewhere.” Oh, goodness!
The boys and the pumpkins

Much more coming from our third visit to the pumpkin patch, but here’s something fun from the little climbers! We’ve got two silly ones, that’s for sure!
Not sure why the quality isn’t great, but you get it!
Callie and Chloe’s Barnyard Bash
Saturday, October 20, 2012
Callie-girl is big in our house. I mean talking-about-her-being-his-wife kind of big! The other night during our prayers, Jack asked if I would pray for big Callie. I asked who big Callie was, and he said, “You know, my little Callie. She’s gonna grow up to be my big Callie. Then she’s gonna be my wife and I’m gonna kiss her. Then she’s gonna give me my boy ring like daddy’s. And it’s gonna be a circle cuz that’s easiest.” Umm, ok. So, Callie’s now spoken for, and now that’s documented for the future slide show! :)When we got the birthday invitation to the Barnyard Bash, there was a lot of excitement at the Thomas house! He told me he was going to run up and kiss her when he saw her (despite me reminding him that we save our kisses for our family!), but he did this instead. I guess he’s shy around his crush, which is fine by me-and I’m sure Vaughn, too!
Callie and Chloe had some beautiful horses at their party, so Jack went for a ride.
Callie and Boland did, too!
Sweet nine-day-old Anna West came to celebrate, and I pretty much wanted to snuggle her on up.
Brooks, Jack, and Ellison worked on some cowboy crafts,
and Emory and James had fun, too!
We sang to the birthday girls and they enjoyed yummy cupcakes.
and then the great bee sting of 2012 happened and I stopped taking pictures! Once I could tell he was totally fine (seriously, totally fine!), it started being a bit funny. He was saying some really funny things. When we got home, I quickly wrote about five things down before I forgot them. My favorite, through sniffles, “Mom, that bee shoulda just shaked my hand and gave me a hug.” Sweet boy!!
Thanks for having us to your Barnyard Bash, Callie and Chloe! It was BEAUTIFUL out there, and your mommy did a really great job!! Happy birthday to you two!
West Farm
Sunday, September 30, 2012
They boys and I went home to my parents for the weekend and, along with Linds and the kids, made a trip to West Farm. It was SO. FUN!! Fall is the start of my favorite two seasons, and, wow, this was a great way to kick it off! Sweet Ethan wasn’t feeling his best, but he was quite the trooper and seemed to enjoy himself, too!I love a good farm field trip, and West Farm was prepared to impress, for sure. They had some new-to-us things to do, and a favorite was the corn box! How fun is this!
Of course there were fun farm animals.
There was a little hay maze and a big corn maze,
this one wasn’t in to the maze,
and an apple slingshot! Another favorite!
We took some pictures with the scarecrows,
and then hunted for the perfect pumpkin to paint
and got to work!
Sam got a bit messy with the paint and Jack noticed.
He walked to Sam’s paint, dipped his finger in the red, and was about to pretend Sam was his pumpkin! Goodness!
Instead of washing just his hands in the trough, Sam thought he should go for the whole head! It cooled him off, too, so we’ll say it was a good idea!
More of our fun tomorrow…
