Grand Rapids, Day Four

Monday, May 4, 2009

Saturday started off with Jack's first trip to Arnie's! Arnie's is a restaurant in GR that we HAVE to go to every time we're there. Grandma used to work there {and I found out that Uncle Tim did too! Linds, Kenzie, Lauren, did you know that?!?!} and she'd give us cinnamon rolls and bring home cookies, so it's one of our favorite places! They make yummy coffee cakes, so Jack brought one home for his daddy.Natalie and Uncle Tom came over to visit, so Jack was able to meet them too! Thanks for coming over! I hope you had fun with Rachel, and Aunt Laura, I hope you feel better! So Jack was able to meet all of my mom's brothers-now he needs to meet her sister!!

We ended the day with some ice cream at grandma and grandpa's, and us kids had fun listening to mom, two of her brothers, and Aunt Nancy talk about growing up on Hall street. We always hear new stories, but no one ever tells them the same! Aunt Betsy, we talked about the maggot story again!! :) That's one thing I love the most about our visits-learning more and more about mom's childhood and how much fun she had!

Jack had fun talking too! Here's his conversation with Sylvie--I just love that sweet little voice!

We said some good-bye's that night, and that's always my least favortie part!! Thank you all for such a fun trip! We miss you and hope to see you soon, soon!! Come see us!
