40 weeks-almost

Thursday, December 16, 2010

Well, we won’t make it to 40 weeks.  We’re being induced tomorrow morning, so baby boy will be here one day early!  We are so excited to meet him and introduce him to his big brother!imageI’ve really enjoyed this pregnancy and am so thankful to still feel great, but I know how amazing it’s going to be to hold this little one in our arms-tomorrow!!  Good night to my family of three!

36 Weeks

Monday, November 22, 2010

-and a few days-oops.  We’re just over 36 weeks along now, and this pregnancy continues to fly by.  I’m feeling great and very thankful for that.  I love being able to run around with Jack, and I don’t take that for granted! imageI had another doctor’s appointment today, and all is well!  I’ve started making progress, but that was the same story with Jack, so I know that doesn’t really say anything about when this little one will arrive.  No matter-I better buy some teeny diapers and wash some teeny clothes!

32 Weeks

Saturday, October 23, 2010

We’re 32 weeks along now, and baby boy continues to grow!  I feel him roll around and stretch much more than I remember with Jack.  I felt kicks and elbows with Jack, but this baby boy seems to be a little squirmy worm!  I love it!  I go to the doctor every two weeks now, and all continues to check out just as it should.  We’re so thankful!image

28 Weeks

Saturday, September 25, 2010

We’re 28 weeks along with baby boy number two and doing just great!  I still feel really good, and Jack still has no idea, so there’s nothing new to report and we’re very thankful for another uneventful pregnancy so far!  For my family near and far, here’s the belly!image

24 Weeks

Thursday, September 2, 2010

We’re 24 weeks along now (last Saturday), and I feel great! I’ve been loving all of little boy’s movements, and am really just loving being pregnant! Jack is still clueless, but he will say his brother’s name for us now! Of course he doesn’t understand that he’s saying his future sibling’s name, but we’ll take it!image We had a doctor’s appointment today, and all is well! Baby boy is measuring right on track, and his heartbeat was 145. Loved hearing that!! image

We were so excited to have a few friends over for dinner tonight to share the news about Baby Thomas #2!  We kept it totally low key with salad and pizza and an extra special cake!imageLaura will be the baby’s Godmother, so we asked her to cut the cake…image …and it’s a BOY!!!  We’re thrilled that Jack is going to have a brother and we can’t wait to meet this little guy in December!!  Until then, keep kicking away and keep growing strong and healthy sweet boy!  We love you SO much already!!imageimage

The Grove Park Inn

Sunday, August 15, 2010

Mark and I headed to one of our favorite places for his birthday weekend this year, The Grove Park Inn! Jack was set to have a fun, long weekend with my parents, and we were off to celebrate and relax! There was a bit of exterior remodeling going on, and even so, it’s beautiful! image

My super sweet husband had these beautiful flowers waiting for me in our room on his birthday weekend! He’s so thoughtful-just one of the many reasons why he’s the man of my dreams!imageFor his birthday dinner, we ate at the Sunset Terrace and had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was the perfect night for him to open the envelope with Baby Thomas’ gender ultrasound picture in it! He got to find out if he’s having a son or a daughter in December-and so did I! Yep! After weeks of talking about it, we made the decision to find out together, and we couldn’t be happier! We’ve told our families and are having some friends over for dinner on Wednesday to tell them! And then of course I’ll post it on the blog-can’t wait to share our wonderful news!imageWe enjoyed sleeping in-even though we woke up at seven and made ourselves go back to sleep!-a few relaxing days at the spa, great food, The Biltmore grounds, the beautiful views, and spending time together-just the two of us!imageLast night, we had reservations at Horizons, and it did not disappoint! It’s quite possibly the best place for dinner-I promise! Oh, and right after we took this picture, we watched a couple get engaged! You know mushy me-I got chills and teared up watching it all happen! We had a drink (or water) before dinner, and watched them enjoy their champagne from across the valley. It was so sweet!imageAnd even though the weekend was exactly what we wanted and the perfect way to celebrate Mark’s birthday, we missed our boy like crazy and are so happy to be back home with him! Thank you SO much, G&G, for taking such great care of Jack and for keeping us updated with all the pictures! Our long weekend wouldn’t have been nearly as relaxing if we didn’t know that Jack was in such good and loving hands! The welcome home note was the sweetest touch! We love you!!image

Our sweet baby #2

Monday, August 2, 2010

Wow!  We go a chance to peek at our sweet baby today, and it was amazing!  He/She was quite the wiggle worm, so Kerry had a hard time getting a few measurements, but this gave us a chance to watch the baby longer!  Everything checked out perfectly, and our baby is healthy and growing!  This is not something we take for granted-we are so thankful for every perfect measurement!  His/Her little profile looks exactly like Jack’s, so maybe another little boy??  We’ll see!

Take a look at baby Thomas #2-we’re in love!imageimage image

20 weeks

Half way there already!  It’s hard to believe, but it’s so exciting!  I’ve been feeling great for a couple weeks now and haven’t gotten sick, so hopefully this pregnancy will be like the last and it’ll be smooth sailing from here on out!

I felt some really good kicks at 18 weeks, and then Mark felt them two days later!  I love, love that!!  Keep it up, sweet little baby

We have our big anatomy scan on Monday, so we’re praying for a great report!  Can’t wait to see that sweet baby squirming all around!

16 weeks

We’re already 16 weeks along with Baby Thomas #2, and time is flying!  I’m still getting sick, but I know it’s totally worth it, and in general I feel really good!

I felt baby’s first little flutters at 15 weeks 2 days, so that was amazing!  I’m looking forward to feeling the more frequent kicks and movements in the next few weeks!

Jack still has no idea that he’s going to be a big brother, but he can say baby!  We think Jack thinks his sibling is a girl because when we ask him to say our boy name, he’ll make a funny little noise, but when we ask him to say our girl name, he’ll say it!  We’ll see!

We had my 16 week checkup yesterday, and everything looks perfect!  We heard baby’s heartbeat as soon as our doctor put the Doppler on my tummy, and it was such a sweet sound!  A strong 155 beats per minute (just like Jack at this appointment), so we’re so thankful!  Keep right on growing, little one!!

Big News!!

Tuesday, June 15, 2010

Jack has some big news he’s excited to finally share!  He’s going to be a BIG brother!  And we happen to think that our new baby couldn’t ask for a better one! :)  We’re so thankful that God chose to bless us with another baby and Jack with a sibling!

imageWe are all thrilled and look forward to welcoming Baby Thomas number two around December 18th!  I’m 13 weeks along and very thankful to be feeling really good at this point!  We even got an early peek at this sweet one, so that was a nice surprise!  Here he/she is at 11 weeks, 3 days!!  Wow!  What a miracle!image And along the he/she lines, people are already asking-yes, we’re doing the same thing we did with Jack.  Mark will be the only one to know the gender until we meet our sweet baby in December!  We were so thankful to see a strong heartbeat and confirm that all looks healthy and on track, and that’s what we’ll continue to pray for!

Oh, and if you go back to this post, that was the day we found out!  The trip to Target was for a plain white t-shirt, and the sewing I did was making the Big Brother shirt so Jack could tell Mark when he got home from the Masters!  I’ll never forget the many wonderful moments of that particular Masters Sunday!
