He’s starting to ‘get it’. Or at least he talks about it. We’ve been talking a lot about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and then rising on Easter Morning-and we say Alleluia! While he’s figuring out the Easter story, as much as a three-year-old can, I thought it’d be fun to make Resurrection Rolls. I know, gross, feet on the counter. But he was in to it, so whatever. I explained what everything represented (as he took bite after bite of cinnamon-sugar coated marshmallow) and that when we open the tomb the marshmallow will not be there-just like Jesus was not there. He is Risen! He wasn’t too pleased with that. “Mommy, I don’t want the marshmallow to disdapear!”Ok, so we’ll keep trying to ‘get it’. It was a fun way to talk about Easter with our boy and help him start to understand the great Gift!
