Kindergarten Rocks!

Thursday, April 23, 2015

Jack had his first performance at Hammond today-it was the cutest thing, and of course I cried!  They all did so great!  The children could volunteer for a speaking part, and Jack did.  His line was, “Meet us in the lobby for a quick hug.”  Delivered just perfectly! image

Of course I did!imageSo proud of this boy and all he did and learned this year!

Mother’s Day

Sunday, May 11, 2014

“It’s both a daunting responsibility and a glorious opportunity.  The divine role of Motherhood is a gift from God…”  I LOVE being their mamma!imageimageimageSo, so grateful God chose me for them, even in moments like this!  One out of three thought Mother’s Day pictures sounded good!imageI wish I had the words to describe how intensely I love mothering these three.  It’s not always easy, sometimes it’s hard!, but I’m so thankful that being home with them was part of God’s plan.  Thank you for working so hard for us, babe!  We all love you so, so much!

And Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms in my life, most especially my own!  Love you so much, mama!

Mother’s Day Tea

Friday, May 9, 2014

Last Mother’s Day Tea at Eastminster with this boy.  They put on a super sweet performance for us mammas and made us feel so special-the sweetest songs and little poems.  They memorized Psalm 23 and recited it for us-makes this mama heart smile to hear him recite God’s word!  So thankful to be his mamma!image

Ice Skating!

Friday, December 27, 2013

What a fun afternoon on the ice!  Boyd Plaza, in front of the Art Museum, sets up an ice rink each winter.  This was the first time we’ve been!  Jack struggled a little to stay up, but he had fun-we all did!  LOVE me some Weavers!imageimage

First Sunday of Advent

Sunday, December 1, 2013

We made our Advent Wreath at church tonight.  Jack was in to it for a couple minutes, but then he just wanted to use the shears to cut the greener.  Gave me more creative control! :)image

Our Tree!

Friday, November 29, 2013

Day after Thanksgiving-time to get our Tree!  Yay!!!  It was a pretty cold morning, so we bundled everyone up and headed to the State Farmer’s Market to pick out this year’s tree!  Margaret stayed in the warm car, but the boys were happy with our find-and the candy canes the nice lady gave them!imageMark unloaded the big tree when we got home, and Jack took care of the little one!imageWe lit the tree and hung a few ornaments tonight.  Jack got the honor of hanging the first ones-our family circles-and Sam got to pick one to hang, too.  We’ll finish it up tomorrow!imageI just love having a Christmas tree in our family room!

Sweet Sammy

Wednesday, August 21, 2013

Sam and I were cuddling after he woke up, and Jack asked if he could take a picture.  I thought he was going to go grab my phone, but he came back in with my big camera with the big lens on it-gulp.imageCheck out the angle he got!imageThen I thought I’d take a few of this baby, imagebut then he wanted a turn with the camera.  Gulp again!imageI told him some jokes instead, and at first he wasn’t sure, but then he smiled!imageimageLove this sweet Sammy!

I’m so grateful to be their mamma!  And I’m thankful to Mark for these hilarious pictures on Mother’s Day!  He was telling them a pretty silly story and I was snapping away.  They love him to pieces and think he hung the moon.  Me too, boys!imageimageimageOur first born, who made me a mamma.imageAnd our second born-I’m so blessed!imageWhat they mostly looked like, imageand a few winners!imageBoys,  I’m so thankful to be a mom, and more importantly, your mom.  This is what I’ve always dreamed of!  Our family is my dream come true!  No, it’s not always easy, and I’m far from a perfect mom, but God chose me as the perfect mom for you.  With His daily grace and strength and patience, that’s what I’ll always try to be.  I’m so thankful you love me and forgive me when I fail.  Each day I learn so much from you.  You bring the biggest smile to my face and more joy to my heart than I can believe.  I just want to eat you up!!  I love you boys more than words can say!  Mamma

Mother’s Day Tea

Friday, May 10, 2013

What a sweet, sweet morning!  The mom’s were invited to a special tea this morning in honor of Mother’s Day.  Boy did I feel celebrated!  The children sang us super sweet songs, said a few poems, and then joined us (at our seats designated with place cards and gifts!) for a little breakfast.  It was the sweetest thing-I loved it so much!  Oh, and see my Jack-made corsage?!?!imageHe told me he gave me green hair because that’s his favorite color, and that he knows I don’t help people buy houses and that I’m not 34, but that he wanted to keep that a secret.  Silly thing!imageWhat a great way to start off Mother’s Day weekend!

The FOOTBALL party!

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

I can’t remember when it was, but once we decided on a football party for Jack’s fourth birthday, he was ALL ABOUT IT!  He would tell anyone and everyone that he was having a football party when he turned four-and that the girls were going to dress up as the cheerleaders!  Of course this momma was thrilled with his excitement, booked our neighborhood park, and started planning all the fun football games.

Sam had fun, promise! imageWell, it was a rainy weekend, so the party was moved to our house, and it was more of a playdate instead of a football game.  The children didn’t care one bit and seemed to all enjoy playing with each other.  We’re so thankful to our family and friends for celebrating our favorite four-year-old with us!imageOur traditional birthday banner was hung for the birthday boy, imageand Jack’s birthday banner greeted everyone.  Welcome, friends!imageThe team colors…imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageThe pre-game meal…imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageClearly I took pictures of everything before our friends arrived.  From here, I dropped the ball and didn’t get pictures of all our guests!  We’re so thankful for everyone that came to celebrate!  Here are some of the teammates I did catch…imageimageMy eater…eating!imageThe piñata.  After we decided on a football party, Jack’s only request was to have a football piñata.  He’s easy to please, and he LOVED it!!  And man, that thing was tough!  It lasted through a couple rounds of the kids, Mark making a few helper holes, and the bigger kids having a few big time go's at it!imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageThe birthday song!  He told me before the party that the birthday song was going to be his favorite part. Yep, he loved it!  You can’t tell from this picture, imagebut look at this one!imageAnd these!imageimageimageOoooh, I love him!imageOops, finger down Sam!!  Ignore that and look how excited Jack is to blow out his four candles!  It’s totally the little things!imageimageMy t-tiny.  Forever and always! (Mark, how did I miss getting pictures of you and your boy?!?!?!)imageimageThank you to all our family and friends for making this four-year-old feel so well celebrated and so loved!  And for bearing with us on the last minute location change! :) Go Team Jack!
