SIX Months!

Happy half-birthday, sweet George!  Cannot believe it’s true, but here we are!Time is just flying by-I pray I don’t miss any of it and remember all of it!

George, you are so happy!  All we need to do is look your way and your face lights up!  It’s such a treat!  We’re so grateful for how laid back and patient you are!  What a perfect addition to our family you are, sweet one!

You still nurse four times a day and once at night.  We’ve tried food in the past couple weeks, a few times, and you are not a fan yet.  We’ll keep trying!

You also still wake in the middle of the night which is a first for our four babies.  I’m choosing to look on the bright side and soak up the cuddles and the one-on-one middle of the night sweetness!  It’s just to eat a bit and then you fall right back to sleep.  I think you wake because you don’t have enough room in your pram!  And also because I can hear you in our closet and I don’t want you to wake daddy!  We’re almost done with the renovation, and you’ll have your own room!

You’re starting to sit up on your own-can’t believe it!  When daddy holds you hands to help you stand, you giggle so much and are so proud!  I love it!

You have one tooth already with a second one on the way-what?!  Youngest baby so far!

Everyone loves you to pieces, precious George, and we’re so grateful you’re ours!  Your siblings want to snuggle you up every chance they get and I melt watching it!  They love you so much.  What a blessing to have each other!  I love you more than words can say, our sweet boy, but Jesus loves you more!

Five Months Old

Five months old, sweet boy!  You are such a delight and such and an absolute joy!  I frequently tell you how much I want to eat you up!  You are the most content, happy boy and your smiles are contagious!  You smile all. the. time!  People always ask if you’re always this happy, and I’m so thankful that I can say yes!
Sweet George, you are so flexible with your schedule and so patient!  You take a morning nap, usually in the carrier, and then a long afternoon nap, 1-4:30, either on my bed or in the pram-still in our closet!  Yes, poor thing, you are still sleeping in our closet!!  You’re about to outgrow the pram, so good thing we’re almost finished with the renovation!  You also take a little cat nap around 5 or 5:30ish.  Just 15 minutes or so.
Your siblings love, love you!  They constantly want to play with you and entertain you.  It melts me so much!  I mean, look at these faces!
You’re a really great sleeper, but you’ve continued to wake up in the middle of the night.  I wonder if it’s because you still sleep in the pram and I hear you, so I get you.  When you do wake, it’s just for ten or fifteen minutes to nurse and you fall right back to sleep.  I’m eating it up while it lasts, you snuggle bug!

You learned how to roll from back to belly a few weeks ago, but you don’t know how to roll back just yet.  You get stuck and you don’t like it!  You’re really strong with your neck, though-you love to look around!
Georgie Porgie, we love you beyond words and are so grateful to God that you are ours!  You are super smiley, so sweet, laid back as can be, and the most loving with your siblings!  They all love to hold you and get in your face, and you are so tolerant!  And I do the same!  I think I kiss your face hundreds of times each day!  I want to eat you up!  I love you, sweet George, but Jesus loves you the most!!

Four Months Old

Sweet George!  You’ve been our baby for four months now, and we couldn’t be more in love!  You are the sweetest thing and it seems like you’ve always been a part of our family!  You are so animated and give the best, full face smiles when we look at you-it’s contagious and just the best!
You have a schedule that we stick to, but you’re also very flexible, which is really a good thing!  We come and go a lot around here!  You eat every four to five hours and take two good naps and one little cat nap each day.
You are about ready to roll over!  You can do tummy to back, but that’s mostly gravity.  You’ve almost got back to belly, but one arm stops you.
You slept through the night at about six weeks, but lately you’ve been waking up again.  I remember Margaret doing the same thing.  It’s only a quick nursing and then you’re back to sleep.  Sweet moments, you and me!  And you’re still in our closet because we’re renovating and you don’t yet have a room!
Your siblings are still crazy about you, and how could they not be?!  The boys love to make you laugh and Margaret is a little mommy to you.  Watching it all melts my heart!  I’m so grateful for all of you kids!
Daddy and I love you more than words can say, sweet George.  But Jesus loves you more!  I pray that we would show you that and that you would never remember a day without Him in your little life!

Three Months Old

Three months old, my George!  You are the sweetest, most snuggly boy, and we love you so much!
You’ve come alive this month and we love it!  You make eye contact with everyone and have the biggest smiles and giggles!  It’s all so contagious!  And you smile with you tongue sticking out-love it!
You eat every four-ish hours now and are so patient!  You never get in too big of a rush to eat, but when we sit down and nurse, you’re ready!  You’re a great eater and pretty quick.  Way to go buddy!
You still nap throughout the day, but I’m starting to see more awake times, too, and can see a predictable nap schedule starting to form.
Your siblings are all so sweet with you and want to see you, help with you, hold you, or make you smile all the time!  Warms my heart!  Jack has even changed your diaper a few times, and Sam has helped!

George, God gave our family just who we needed in you, and that was an answered prayer!  We are beyond thankful for you, sweet one!  We love you more than words can say, but Jesus loves you the most!

Two Months Old

Sweet baby boy!  Two months have passed since that amazing day in April.  Can’t believe it!  You are growing so fast-I’m trying to be present and really soak you up each and every second!  You make it so easy and so, so sweet!
We are almost ot of size one diapers-what?  You are smiling some really good smiles right now and they are the best!  We’re getting a glimpse of your sweet personality and even heard a few little girgles and coos!  Love that!
You are such a good, sweet baby-praise you LORD!  You continue to sleep most of the day but certainly give us some awake periods.  And you sleep through the night!  I feed you for the last time at 9:30 or so and then wrap you up and put you in the pram-on the floor-in our closet!  We’re renovating to build you a nursery (and other changes), so the closet it is for you right now.  You don’t mind a bit!
I love baby toes!  And these right here^^, I eat them up pretty much daily!

You eat every three-ish hours and are so patient if it takes a bit longer.  You are great at nursing, and I sure love it!  Such sweet time, just you and me!
Oh, Georgie!  We love you to bits and pieces, sweet child of ours!  May God be truly glorified in your little life!

One month old

One month old!  Sweet George, already?!  You have been such a content baby and we are so thankful!  Everyone continues to eat you up.  Your siblings want to hold you, bring you things, and sometimes touch your little nose a little too rough!  We’re working on that!
You still sleep most of the time but are starting to have more awake periods.  We love seeing those brown eyes!  What?  First Thomas baby with brown eyes!
You smiled for the first time-for me!!-when you were twenty five days old!  What a treat!  I don’t think it was really in reaction to me, but it was super sweet to see.  Can’t wait to see it more!
