It was time to wake up from nap, and as I headed upstairs, I heard the boys already playing.  Naturally, I grabbed my camera and watched through the crack in the door!I love to watch when they don’t know I’m watching!

Well, I didn’t really seek.  I just enjoyed watching them play!

Bath time!

These two LOVE bath time!  They could play in there forever.  And Jack could definitely stay in there long enough to watch all of Toy Story 2!  (Yes, we let him stay in there that long, and he loved every minute of that treat!  He had quite the pruney hands when he got out!) Yes, even with Jack spitting water on Sam, they still love bath time!

And who doesn’t love a squeaky clean babe all snuggly, smellin’ good, and ready for stories?!?!  Bath time’s fun!

And I don’t want to forget how their daddy can make them laugh-even with a scary roar!  We’re all alike in that we think Mark is the best!

Aren’t the apps available for our phones fun?!  Of course it would be great to have my big camera with me all the time, but since that’s just crazy, you can’t beat the iPhone and it’s apps!

A new hiding spot (8/15). My boys and me-with the help of the forward facing camera (8/17). Last day of the ‘turning two’s’ and ‘infant ones’ (8/19).Bath time (8/19) and play time (8/23).  Those stacking rings are a favorite! My heart just skipped a beat. (8/23)An after dinner, after walk treat (8/23) and some extra mommy snuggles (8/16).Here they are jammin this morning.  I could watch them interact all day long!

When I take Sam’s tray off, he always searches in his bib pocket to find some goodies that missed his mouth.  And he sits just like Jack did-with his little legs crossed (8/30)!Meanwhile, Jack gets some ‘work’ done (8/30).

Mark, Jack, and I looked through some old videos the other day, and we all loved it!  Mark and I enjoyed remembering what baby Jack was like (and thinking of the fun we have to come with Sam!) and Jack got so excited watching himself sing, jump in the pool, talk, and fall like daddy.  So, I’m taking more videos! 

Jack is so much fun to talk with.  He reasons, imagines, and gets so excited!  I love playing with him! 

And this boy is just so happy!  His little giggles are contagious, and I love him so much!

Jack loves to be by Sam, and almost always joins in during tummy time.  Here he’s helping Sam wave and then tells him not to lick him!  And sweet Sam-he’s just taking it all in!

And here’s where he learned to talk to his brother in a high pitched voice. :)

Sam had had enough of the Bumbo and was ready for his nap.  The big brother wanted to see what he could do to help.

Translation:
He started by seeing if Sam wanted to do “Here’s the church, here’s the steeple…”, then you can hear a teeny bit of “The Wheels on the Bus” when he’s swaying, and finally he decided that yes, indeed, Sam was ready for his nap and needed to be wrapped up (swaddled).  I love it!

Three Months Old

Sweet Sammy-you’re three months old today! It really seems like just yesterday that it was Christmastime and we were wondering when we would hang your stocking. How are you three months old already? You looked just like Jack when you were born, but I think you’re starting to get your own little look.You’re such a laid back little guy and completely go with the flow. You don’t cry much unless it’s bath time. And then you scream. Big time! I’m not sure why you don’t like it, and it’s so sad to hear you cry so hard, sweet boy! You nurse every four or so hours during the day and sleep through the night. At around ten weeks, you gave up your ten o’clock feeding, and I wake you in the morning around seven or seven-thirty. You’re such a super sleeper!You smile, smile, smile and we love it!! The other morning I was in Bible Study and had you in your carrier at my feet. You were just looking up at me, and as soon as we’d catch eyes you’d give me the biggest smiles! My heart was melting! You’ve giggled a few times, and I cannot wait until those giggles happen more often. That’s one of my favorite things! And then there’s your big brother. He loves you so much, and you’re starting to really watch him. How can you not when he’s loving you up close, huh?! But you don’t mind that either! Oooh, you’re just the sweetest baby, and we’re oh so thankful you’re ours!

The first time the big brother picks on the little brother-caught on video.  Jack put an oven mitt on each of Sam’s legs and watched until he kicked them off!  Silly boys!
