Outside

Jack LOVES to be outside! He’ll go to any door, pat on it, and say, “side?”, so out the door we go!
Tonight, Uncle Doug came over, so the boys played in the fort and had fun on the slide!
This is his, “I know I’m not supposed to stand on the slide, but I’m going to see what she says” face.
Then he walked up the slide, with Uncle Doug’s help,
and back down he went!
Check out that hair!
We have so much fun with you, sweet boy!
Then and Now
I took over 100 pictures while we were playing in the backyard tonight-I tried out the burst shot mode, so I have some fun ones to share! While going through them, two immediately reminded me of some old pictures I took.
These sweet baby hands and toes were never dirty at six and a half months, but today they had fun playing in the dirt and play yard chips! And here’s the boy at just over seven months and with his daddy today-looks like he still loves the slide!
He’s been doing a lot of growing since then-look at him now!!
Touch a Truck
Today was the Junior League’s Touch a Truck event, and it did not disappoint! There were vehicles of all kind, and Jack enjoyed his hands on experience in a few. He couldn’t believe he was allowed to push all the buttons! He went through a Fire Truck, Ambulance, Police Car, many big work trucks, a Big Rig, and a mobile command unit. The weather was perfect, pretty windy as you can see, and it was fun to see some of our friends enjoying the event, too!
If you didn’t make it this year, plan to go out next year-your babies will love it!
Guess who’s a BIG sister!
Friday, April 16, 2010
Eva! Her baby sister was due on May 1, but Eva was early so Mary Beth and Joey thought Anna would be, too. They were right! And she looks just. like. EVA!
She’s such a great godsister to Jack, so she’s had practice with babies and is ready to teach Anna everything she knows!
Welcome, Anna! We love you so much and can’t wait to snuggle with you again!
And thank you, Uncle Joey, for showing me how much fun it’s going to be when I’m big enough to ride a bike!
Jack’s First Haircut
At just a few days shy of 14 months, Jack had his first haircut! It lasted just about five minutes, and he hated every bit of it! But as soon as it was over and his daddy picked him up, he was all smiles again!
BeforeDuring
After
He still has some curls back there-do you see them in the third picture above?! I stopped the lady when she tried to cut some from the top-she did just enough for this first go round. And yes, I did save some of his first curls! Hairdoodles actually put some in a tiny, clear bag and gave us a little certificate for his first haircut!
My t-tiny baby, you’re becoming a big boy faster than I’d like!! I’m proud of you, Jack!

What a treat to get this disc of pictures in our mailbox last night! The day we originally scheduled for Jack’s one year pictures turned out to be the massive snow day here in Columbia, so we took some pictures inside and planned to head outside when there wasn’t snow on the ground! At the beginning of March, Jack and I met Jordan to try again, but it was still pretty chilly! We had fun though, and, as usual, Jordan did a great job! I love this one-seeing my little boy holding my finger-isn’t that just the sweetest! He has already started to not want me to hold his hand while he’s walking, so I’m glad Jordan got this! Here are a few more from our fun on the Horseshoe!
