Kendall’s Baptism Day!

We headed to Charleston this morning to celebrate with Linds and Ryan and the rest of our families-today Kendall was baptized! The ceremony was so meaningful, and I could tell by the look on their faces that Linds and Ryan were touched!Kendall wore the family gown and looked so beautiful! The Grants hosted a luncheon after church, so we were able to enjoy more family time and love on Kendall! I’m so proud of you sweet girl!  We look forward to seeing what God has in store for your little life

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Happy Birthday to the best daddy a girl could ask for!  Thank you for loving me so much and now loving our little boy so much, too!  You’re amazing in your new role of grandpa! We love you and can’t wait to celebrate with you tomorrow!

Circus Party-Our Guests

We were so happy to welcome our family and so many friends to Jack’s Circus Party!  All these sweet little faces mean so much to Jack and our family-thank you all for helping us celebrate!  I know Jack won’t remember this day, but I also know that these pictures will help him to see how many people love him and think enough of him to share this special day!  We didn’t get pictures of everyone, but we know you were there, and we thank you!

Circus Party-The Smash Cake

We’ve been singing to Jack each Friday about his smash cake, and it was finally time to let him dig in!We got through the first line of Happy Birthday, and I started tearing up, but I quickly pulled it together and enjoyed watching Jack have fun with his cake!He actually didn’t make as much of a mess as I thought he would, but I think he liked it!

Twelve Months Old

Well, baby boy, you’re one!! I can’t believe it, but it’s true! A year ago we became your parents and we have loved every minute of it! We sure think you hung the moon, little one! You make the funniest faces when we’re playing, and your little laugh is so contagious! You’re quite ticklish and just plain funny! Bottom line, you’re a happy, happy boy!This past month you’ve really shown that you understand what we’re saying to you. You’ll bring us the ball, clap your hands, touch your nose, dance (SO funny!), touch your belly, give us kisses-you’re so fun to interact with! Just like all one year olds, you’re on the move! You’re interested in everything, and it’s neat to see what it is that grabs your attention.The biggest milestone this past month is that you took your first steps and became a full time walker! We bought you your first pairs of shoes, and you haven’t looked back. It doesn’t seem like such a little guy should be able to walk-it’s too cute to watch you toddle around! No change to your schedule this month. You’re a boy of routine, and it seems to be serving you-and us-well. If anything you’ve been inching your bedtime up a little bit. Maybe all that walking is tiring our little guy out! We found another tooth on your birthday, so now you have three! You’re a great eater-we haven’t found anything yet that you don’t like, but I’m sure the day will come if you’re anything like your mommy!Jack, we love you, we love you, we love you! We love everything about you and and are so proud of you! God has been so good to us, and we pray for your continued happiness and good health each day! You’re still my t-tiny baby, little one year old!

Twelve Month Well Check

We went to visit Dr. Trey this morning for Jack’s well visit, and left with a glowing report and a clean bill of health!  Yeah!  Mark had a CLE that he couldn’t miss, so that left this mommy to brave FOUR shots by herself!  Jack got a shot in each arm and in each leg, but two seconds after Nurse Janet was finished, he was smiling again.  Man, that’s a rough couple seconds though!  He continues to hate the scale and the crinkly paper he has to lay on, but other than that, he was a good boy!  We are so thankful for his health!

Weight: 21 pounds, 4 ounces-25th percentile
Height: 32.5 inches-97th percentile
Head Circumference: 18.25 inches-60th percentile

My how my t-tiny baby has grown!!

Year One in Review

It seems like just yesterday we were here- -and now we’re here! What a difference a year makes, and what a wonderful year it’s been!!
