The Fair-2012

Friday, October 19, 2012

I’m really not much of a fair go-er, but having little ones changes that.  Jack’s school was closed today, so we had a mommy/Jack date and it was the best!  We had the most wonderful time, saying yes to whatever HE wanted to do, and when we left, he told me he had a “great time at the fair, mommy!”  Worth it.  Every minute!

We started off with the Farris Wheel, at his request.  “I wanna ride that big circle that goes round and round.” He was apprehensive when we stepped in an the carriage rocked back and forth, image but then he quickly got excited. That lasted until we started going in full circles, and then he asked when it was our turn to get off.  On to the next ride!imageHe rode these cars I bet eight times.  He tried each car they had!  Man, he was so excited!imageimageimageimageimageimageLOVED this bell!imageimageimageThe motorcycles were a hit.imageHe did the super slide (“Mom, that was NOT fun!”), the train, the Funny House several times, the big boat (that spun all around and nearly made me sick!), the Mirror House, and many more!  Then we made our way to the bumper cars.  Hilarious.  After seeing him on this ride (and his general level of excitement over the Fair!), I have visions of his first time at Disney dancing in my head!imageimageimageOf course we had to play a game, and of course it would be the water gun game.  He got second place both times he played, and we were both just fine with that!  He thought he won because he got to play the game, and I KNEW he won because we didn’t take a huge stuffed animal home with us! :)imageimageWe grabbed some cotton candy and headed home for a late lunch.  Man, what a wonderful day with my t-tiny!

Pumpkin patch-first visit of the season

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Trip one of who knows how many.  It was more of an impromptu stop after Jack was such a great boy getting his hair cut.  I already can’t wait to go back.  Love that place!imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimage

Matchy-matchy

Yes, I still love to dress the boys alike, and especially at bedtime.  I just love a baby in jammies!  These are Sam’s first two piece jammies, so the occasion deserved some pictures.imageimageAnd I know this one is blurry, but I just love it.  This is typical-real life.  They let me take pictures for two seconds, and then they scatter.  This time, straight at me!imageSo there’s a lot of back and forth when I try to take posed pictures.  “Ok, you guys sit here.  Look at mommy! (click)  Smile! (click)  Peek-a-boo! (click) I’m-a gonna come-a get you! (click, click, click)” They get up and walk away.  I talk them back in to sitting down, and we repeat.  Makes me even more thankful for the good ones-even though I think that one up there is a good one, too!imageimageThese pictures reminded me of some of my favorite pictures of the two of them from this morning.  Crazy babies!image

Bicentennial Sunday

Sunday, October 7, 2012

Our church is celebrating our Bicentennial this year, and we kicked off the year-long celebration today. We had a special service that started at the State House, where our founding members first met, so I was asked to help take pictures.imageimageimageMy favorites were the ones I got of our precious littles patiently waiting to go back in the cathedral after Liturgy Prep.  LOVE all these kids our kids will grow up with!imageimageimage__________________________________
And when we got home, we cooked up some foodimageimage and got to play with Uncle Adam and Lauren!imageimageLove you two!  Come again soon!image

West Farm, continued

Monday, October 1, 2012

So after all the fun, we still had more to go-like a hay ride!imageimageThey also had some huge tractor tires (??) to climb on and a big ‘ole tube to slide down.  You should’ve heard them sliding down that bumpy thing-hilarious.  (Dad, can you send me that video?!)imageimageimageimageOh, buddy.  You were such a trooper!imageThey played with the bouncy balls, imageimageimageimageand then back to the corn box!imageimageThey started getting sleepy and doing silly things like corn angels and wearing buckets as hats, imageimageimageor just making themselves at home and getting comfy for a nap!imageimageSo we took the hint (and a few more pictures!),imageand called it a day.imageHow fun, how fun, how FUN!
